At Tea.L Interiors, we love working with color when the project allows for it. Different shades and tones can not only infuse vibrancy into a space but also create a specific mood. When selecting a color or a combination of colors for a room, we consider what the space will be used for, how the natural light and the added lighting fixtures will affect our color selection, and what feeling our clients would like to create in the space. Then, we often mix neutrals such as shades of white and warm and cool grays with one or a few accent colors depending on our clients' preferences. Below, we are sharing more details on how and where we use a few popular of the most popular colors in interior design and the mood that each of those colors could create.

SHADES OF BLUE
The Mood: calm, "easy to live with," trustworthy, serene.
Where: everywhere around the house. Blue is a versatile color that can be incorporated throughout various spaces in a home to create an atmosphere of tranquility and calmness.
How: paint, wallpaper, kitchen cabinets, upholstered furniture, accessories, art, decor, window treatments.
SHADES OF GREEN
The Mood: "nature-inspired," fresh, reviving.
Where: from the living room to the bathroom, incorporating various shades of green can create a sense of connection with nature, making it an ideal choice for any room.

SHADES OF YELLOW

Where: yellow, with its bright and cheerful tones, can enhance the look of various spaces within a home or workplace. In the living room, incorporating shades of yellow can create an inviting and warm atmosphere. In a kid's room, yellow is particularly effective as it stimulates happiness. In an office setting, shades of yellow can enhance productivity.

The bedroom is another ideal space for shades of purple, as it promotes a serene environment and encourages rest. Last but not least, shades of purple could be one of the best choices for rooms used for yoga and meditation.
