When Design Moves With You. A Story of Timeless Interior Design and Evolving Spaces

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing how design continues to live long after installation day and how thoughtful choices, custom pieces, and meaningful layouts can evolve with time, space, and lifestyle.

Recently, two clients reminded me of this in the most inspiring ways.

One client shared that she’s brought her original design into four different homes - a proof that when a space is built around your personality and rhythm, it adapts beautifully wherever life takes you.

A perfect example of this philosophy is Juli’s story.

A Design Story That Travels Well

Juli and I first worked together in 2019, designing her rental studio apartment. Every piece, every detail, was chosen to fit her lifestyle at the time - functional, warm, and deeply personal. She later moved abroad, but this year, when she returned and settled into a new one-bedroom apartment, she reached out again this time, for help refining her desk area.

When she shared photos of her space, I couldn’t help but smile. So much of our original design had come with her but repurposed, reimagined, and thriving in a new context.

The custom room divider we created for her studio now serves as a horizontal bookcase, anchoring her living area. The shelving unit that once offered additional storage has become a media console, perfectly proportioned to balance her TV wall. Even the sofa, the same one we selected together years ago, feels completely at home in its new light.

The artwork that once hung above her bed now brings warmth to her bedroom again, alongside the round mirror that has become a subtle signature of her space. Every piece tells a story of continuity, of design that travels well.
