Juli and I first worked together in 2019, designing her rental studio apartment. Every piece and detail was chosen to fit her lifestyle at the time—functional, warm, and personal. She later moved abroad. This year, when she returned and settled into a new one-bedroom apartment, she reached out again for help refining her desk area.
When she shared photos of her space, I couldn’t help but smile. So much of our original design had come with her, repurposed, reimagined, and thriving in a new context. The custom room divider we created for her studio now serves as a horizontal bookcase, anchoring her living area. The shelving unit that once offered additional storage has become a media console, perfectly proportioned to balance her TV wall. Even the sofa, the same one we selected together years ago, feels completely at home in its new light.
The artwork that once hung above her bed now brings warmth to her bedroom again. It sits alongside the round mirror that has become a subtle signature of her space. Every piece tells a story of continuity—design that travels well.
The Beauty of Design That Lasts
Juli’s home is a testament to the idea that timeless interior design, created with intention, endures beautifully. When a space is crafted around how you live, rather than what’s trending, it evolves gracefully through new homes and new chapters.
That’s the quiet power of design that moves with you.

Reimagining Your Own Space
If you’ve recently moved and are wondering how to make your existing pieces feel fresh again, I’d love to help you reimagine them. Sometimes, the best “new” design is already part of your story.
Embracing Change in Your Design Journey
Change is a natural part of life. As we move through different stages, our environments should reflect those changes. Embracing this evolution in design can be liberating. It allows us to create spaces that resonate with our current selves while honoring our past.
Tips for Refreshing Your Space
Assess Your Current Pieces: Take a good look at what you already own. Which items do you love? Which pieces tell your story?
Repurpose and Rearrange: Sometimes, simply moving furniture around can create a fresh look. Consider how items can serve new purposes.
Incorporate Personal Touches: Add items that reflect your personality. This could be artwork, photographs, or even plants that bring life to your space.
Mix Old with New: Don’t be afraid to combine new purchases with your existing pieces. This blend can create a unique and personal aesthetic.
Conclusion: The Timeless Nature of Design
In conclusion, design is not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating spaces that resonate with who we are. The journey of design is ongoing. It evolves as we do. By embracing the pieces that have traveled with us, we can create homes that are not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful.
If you're ready to explore how your design can evolve, let's connect. Together, we can make your space a true reflection of you.
