At Tea.L Interiors, we believe that great design doesn’t always require a full renovation. Sometimes, it’s the thoughtful finishing touches that truly bring a space to life. That was exactly the case in this recent living room refresh, where small yet impactful updates helped our client’s vision come together seamlessly.

A Cohesive, Elegant Palette
Our client had already made some beautiful choices, and our role was to refine and elevate what was already there. We began by painting the upper shelves of the built-in units in a deep navy, perfectly matching the base cabinets. This simple color continuity created a pretty focal point and gave the built-ins a more tailored, intentional look.
To complement the cabinetry and existing decor, we selected Benjamin Moore Sterling for the walls—a soft, elegant gray that added just the right amount of warmth and contrast without overpowering the space.
Layering Comfort and Style
With the foundational elements in place, we focused on the finishing details that make a room feel complete. We installed curtains to soften the windows and add a layer of coziness. An accent table placed between the chairs introduced both function and balance, while a set of new throw pillows pulled the color palette together effortlessly.
Each of these updates was subtle on its own, but together, they created a space that feels polished, cohesive, and welcoming.
The Power of Finishing Touches
This project is a beautiful reminder that a few intentional updates can make a big impact. Whether it's color, textiles, or furniture placement, it's often the final layers that elevate a room from good to great.
If your space is almost there but still feels like it’s missing something, we’d love to help. Sometimes, all it takes is a designer’s eye and a few thoughtful changes for a room to truly shine.
